I had been busy on the computer for a while when the door suddenly opened and then closed again, quickly.
I looked up and Beth was standing there, with an extremely relieved look on her face.
“I knew you could do it.” Beth said.
“Yeah. With a little help from you.” I said.
“Do you two mind if we talk for a minute?” Beth asked.
“I’m not leaving.” Bellamy said.
“I know you want to protect her. But I’m here. You know that no one is going to be coming through that door while I’m here. And don’t take this personally, but you kinda need a shower.” Beth said. So Bellamy looked down at himself.
He had been wearing the same clothes for days, and so had Zeke. They hadn’t been home and hadn’t had any real decent food or showers or anything. So Beth insisted that they leave and she closed
