I stood there in shock while holding Sienna by the throat before I realized that she couldn’t breathe. But I wasn’t taking my chances with anyone. I only loosened my grip on her, I didn’t let go completely.
“Why the hell are you following me?” I asked.
“I wasn’t. I saw you heading back to the packhouse and I thought we could talk out here.” She said.
“What about?” I asked.
“My sister. I just want to know how she is.”
“Why don’t you go in there and see her?” I asked.
“Because if my parents find out that I’ve been to see her then they will disown me as well.” She said.
“Right. And cut you out of their will.” I said.
“I know what you must think. But I can’t risk it. A nurse doesn’t make that much money around here and the money they’ve been helping me with will be cut off.” She
