As I was standing there watching Lexie who was going bright red while looking at me, I actually thought she was ready to kill me.
She walked up to us and quickly handed the baby over to Bellamy and barely gave him a chance to get a good grip of him before she threw her arms around me and hugged me tighter than anyone had hugged me in a really long time.
“I missed you too.” I said.
“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me what was going on. I really thought you were dead. I thought you were gone. I was never going to see you again.” She said, as tears started to streak down her face.
I felt a pang of guilt in my stomach watching her reaction to seeing me again. I knew that this would hurt her but I guess I just didn’t realize how much.
