I lazily watched as Elizabeth and Lorenzo discussed just how easy it had been to retrieve the last three items needed to release me.
“Are you excited, Myriad?” Lorenzo questioned me as he looked over at me and I simply inclined my head. Of course, I was excited, but I was tired. It had taken a lot out of me to find those three locations. In fact, I wasn’t going to be able to do any magic for the next few days. “How soon can we do this?” I heard Lorenzo ask, but I wasn’t interested in conversing with them at this point, so I remained silent.
“Myriad?” Elizabeth said my name so carefully, but I could feel her fear and doubts, but it didn’t bother me. She had every right to be afraid.
