“Rise and shine princess,” a deep voice said, and I groaned softly as I turned onto my back and opened my eyes. At first, I was confused as I didn’t recognize my surroundings, but then I remembered. I had been kidnapped by Elizabeth and I only had myself to blame. I had fallen prey to her lies and while I knew I should’ve been more suspicious, there was nothing I could do about it now. I wasn’t some immortal with supernatural abilities. I couldn’t shift into another form and make a run for it. I was weak in so many ways that it was embarrassing. I groaned once again and pulled the thin blanket over my head.
