Tessa - There's Two of Them?!?!

1046 Words
I made my way to my next class in a daze. When I stood up to leave, I smelled the leather and chocolate again. When I looked back, I realized that it was coming from tall, dark, and handsome...there's that cliché again. Cat wouldn't shut up; she was so happy. We found our mate. I was more reserved. I had my reasons. Once he heard the stories, he would run away. They all run away in the end. 'Don't be such a pessimist, Tes. He could be different. He could be like Nicole. She accepted us right away, and she's human. He could even be like Justin,' Cat whined in my head.     'Don't be such an optimist Cat. 1) We don't know for sure. We won't know till January when I turn 18. 2) Nicole is the exception because we saved her from PBS. 3) She's the only exception, and you can't deny that. 4) Justin is special, he doesn't count," I replied. Cat just whined and whimpered. 'I'm sorry Cat. I hope you're right. I truly do. But I also don't want to get my hopes up. I don't think I can handle getting my hopes smashed...again.' Cat just huffed at me, but she also knew I was right, especially after that stunt that Belle and Jasmine pulled. They convinced Jeremy to pretend that he was my mate. That rat bastard tried to get into my pants. Once I realized that he wasn't in fact my mate, I broke his jaw. Even with werewolf healing, his jaw had to be wired shut for a week. Once Jeremy told me who put him up to it, well, let me just say, that was the incident where the school learned not to mess with me. I broke Jasmine's femur, and there was talk that she might always walk with a limp, and I tried my best to make sure Belle could never have any kids.      'Tes, do you ever consider that maybe you need anger management lessons, like seriously?' Cat asked while I was reminiscing.     I sighed. I seemed to be doing that a lot lately. 'You're not wrong, Cat. Sometimes, I feel as if all there is to me is anger...but not just anger, Fury. White hot fury. Sometimes, I feel like I'm just going to explode,' I reply.     Cat grew silent. s**t. Did I scare her too? 'No, stupid, you didn't scare me. I was thinking. I can help you, but you really ought to consider what I said.' I agreed. That much anger rolling around inside me was dangerous. And maybe if I attended lessons, the Big Thicket Pack wouldn't fear me as much. I needed stay here until I graduated high school. That was the agreement between Alpha Jaxon and my parents. Alpha Jaxon would let me stay to finish high school, and I keep my head down as much as I was able.      My next class was AP Anatomy and Physiology. I was taking several AP classes, as well as dual credit. When I graduated in May, I would graduated in the top 10% of my class, if not as salutatorian or valedictorian, as well as with my Associate's Degree in Nursing. I walked in and was hit with the smell of leather and chocolate. Instinctively, I turned to the smell. There he was sitting the back talking to Justin, my closest male friend. Justin was very gay, and I could tell he liked the attention from the new guy. Justin was as flamboyant as it could get, and he helped me a lot during my depressive episodes. I loved that guy like he was my own brother. The new guy looked up, and I gasped. His eyes were not storm gray. They were metallic, almost silver in color. That couldn't be right. How could his eyes change color. I could always tell if someone was wearing contacts, and when I looked at him last, he definitely was not wearing contacts. So maybe I was wrong. Maybe he's not my mate. Maybe he's Justin's. I was beginning to get a headache.     "Tessa!" Justin squealed. "You gotta come meet, Jaydan Blackwood," Justin cried as I made my way to my seat. "Jaydan, this is Tessa Daws. Tessa, Jaydan." Justin said making the introductions. Ok, so this guy, Jaydan, was definitely not gay; he was just being nice, but he did seem like he was honestly enjoying Justin's company. Wait...did he just say Jaydan Blackwood, as in the Blackwood Pack, the largest pack in the United States with over 2000 pack members and one of the most ruthless packs in the world; the pack that spans across most of Southeast Texas and into Louisiana. That headache just blossomed into a full-blown migraine. I knew that if I didn't get out of the room soon I was going to pass out from the pain.      "Justin, Jaydan..." I started, but had to stop as I almost threw up on Jaydan, although that would have been one hell of an introduction. Justin gave me a worried look. He knew what was about to happen.     "Don't worry, girl. I got you. You look like you're about to pass out or throw up or both. You go. You can copy my notes afterwards, m'kay," Justin said. I looked at him with gratitude. "Love you, girlfriend."     I threw my hands up to signal Justin that I loved him too as I walked back out of the room. I don't get these headaches often, but when they hit, goddess help me. I ran down the hallway as fast as the spinning room would allow. I was almost to my safe haven, when I smelled the leather and chocolate. I stopped in my tracks. Jaydan didn't follow me, for which I was grateful. I followed the scent which lead me to the Calculus class. I peaked inside. There was mister tall, dark, and handsome. He looked up as though he sensed my presence. His eyes were storm gray. Oh goddess, help me. Jaydan didn't have contacts. He was a twin. There were two of them, and they were both my mate. I slid down the wall just as the door opened, and storm gray eyes clouded my vision before everything went dark.
