    I don't know how much time had passed since I ran out of the cafeteria. I was aware of time passing but couldn't tell exactly how much time had gone by. Why had I ever said something so stupid to her dad? Now I would be leaving for a week. DAMNIT!!! I was so angry, and I could tell that Garrett was hurting too. He didn't want to leave our mate behind any more than I did. Why had I been so impulsive?      'Yeah, stupid, why did you say something like that,' Garrett whined.     'You're NOT helping,' I grumbled back.      Garrett eventually ran out steam, only now I had a bigger problem. I hadn't thought to bring any extra clothes with me, and if I shifted back to my human form, I would be in my birthday suit. And I wasn't like Tessa that could reform my clothes once I'd shredded them
