70. Baby Mess

Ryker and I stay the night in what was my home for so long, in my room more specifically. I enjoy the most peaceful sleep since I had that fateful call from Blair. I am glad Blair neither spared my feelings nor downplayed my mother’s state so as not to upset or worry me respectively. She is the best friend I could have ever asked for. Hell, she is family. When morning comes, I wake up rather early considering how late we got in. And yet, it’s pretty late for an early riser like me. I head to the kitchen, and I’m glad to notice that nothing has changed - much like nothing has in my room as well. I open the fridge to find nearly empty, save for a tomato and a few yogurts. And it’s not even the weekend. My eyes narrow as I take it all in. No wonder mom lost so much weight. L
