Prologue

God I hate stereotypes! You know how it is said that blondes are dumb, redheads are feisty, brunettes are plain, and nerds are socially awkward? Well, I am the nerd of the school. And I fit all the freaking stereotypes regarding nerds, from being socially awkward to overly clumsy. Yay me! Please note the sarcasm. You can blame my shyness for how awkward I can be. You can blame my daydreaming for how dense I can be sometimes - I cannot read the atmosphere for the life of me. As for my clumsiness, I wouldn’t know what to blame. I think some people are born clumsy. Even a flat surface is an accident waiting to happen in my book. So don’t even get me started on uneven ground. I tend to zone out as I mentioned before, ergo I don’t watch where I’m going, and end up more often than not meeting the ground face first. How did I manage to get such good grades if I’m always head in the clouds, you’re asking? I was told I was a genius. Something about my IQ being super high. I don’t care to remember the number… Why am I still in high school? Because my parents don’t want me to miss out on all the fun, or so they claim. Oh yeah, I’m having the best time of my life, being the laughing stock of jocks and cheerleaders alike. The populars can be a bit judgmental and mean, I’d say. Yes, I can fall over virtually nothing, because I’m clumsy like that. I could freaking teach people how to fall. I can imagine myself writing a book about that. I would call it Bad Falls 101. Being a stereotypical clumsy and awkward nerd was fine by me… until I fell one serious fall, the worst of them to date. I fell for the bad boy. And this is my story.
