Ryker and I end up chatting the day away. I have never felt more at ease with someone, Blair aside. I tell him how my relationship with my mom has changed, how I am no longer able to confide in her. It isn’t that she has done me wrong per se, unless we’re talking about the deception of the agreement, but there’s this wall separating us nowadays. Since dad passed away, we have not been the same. He tells me how someone’s passing always has its consequences. And he even reassures me by saying that the relationship can be restored, given time of course. Ryker receives a few calls from his dad - no more than 2 really. And then two equally enraged texts to which he doesn’t bother to reply.
