Kandais fought the urge to stay in the warmth of the bathroom. She fretted over her lack of control over this situation; forcing her to quickly get to know the people on the other side of the door. Worst of all she was now in the spiders web, the home of a vampire. “They are only people,” she whispered to herself, “not fiends in men's clothing.” She breathed in deep and opened the door.
