Goodbyes And Trouble

Beast looked at Wolfie as he sat down across from him  at the breakfast table in the restaurant he was in, "Hey man!" Beast greeted, "What's up?"  Wolfie looked around before in a low voice asking, "What's going on with you and Alpha Jong?" Beast slowly shrugged, "Ugh nothing?" Wolfie c****d an eyebrow, "Then you don't know he threatened your lady and Cyborg?" Beast stiffened a growl tugging at his lips. "HE did what?" Wolfie nodded before catching Beast up to speed, "You know Alpha Jong doesn't like or trust anyone different. Especially if they can outmatch him. Watch your back man, and keep your family close." Beast nodded watching him go. Sighing, Beast sat back in his seat tiredly, he was only appeased when his food was brought to him and grinned before digging in.   As he ate his breakfast Beast mused on what to do.  He didn't want to deal with Jong again, the last ass-kicking he had dealt out to the prick should have been enough. But low in behold here he went making s**t difficult yet again. Beast was stewing on what to do when Terra suddenly sat across from him.  "I'm not here to fight," Terra whispered looking nervous when his chest seemed to rumble in anger, "I'm...I guess I'm saying goodbye, and I don't know if it's the last one." Sighing Terra shrugged awkwardly as Beast looked at her curiously, "And I didn't want the last time you saw me be in a fight when I was being a bitch."  Beast shook his head disagreeing, "You were hurting, I shouldn't have gone beast mode on you. You were just running on old emotions, I'm sorry." Terra shook her head, "No you had every right to be pissed at me, to tell me to go. Disrespected the woman you loved and in knowing you I expected nothing less." Terra sat back in her seat as the waitress poured her a coffee and asked for a ham and cheese omelet. When she left Terra poured in her sugar and said, "Talk to my brother?" Beast slowly nodded before sarcastically quipping, "More like he discreetly plotted to murder me over us no longer seeing eye to eye." Terra laughed knowing that was her big brother, "Ignore him." Beast looked at Terra as she admitted, "I'm going home Beast, back to Markovia. I thought...I thought if I left the power I had been forced to have, the rules and discipline of my life would just go away. That I wouldn't hurt anyone. But low and behold I did exactly that."  Beast c****d his head to the side, "Never intentionally and we all make mistakes." Terra smiled sadly in remembrance, "Mines almost killed a bunch of people on the orders of a man who convinced me to turn on my best friend. Somethings can't be forgotten."  Putting his hand on hers, Beast whispered," But they can be forgiven." Terra grinned widely before sweetly telling him, "I just wanted to say bye...in the right way." Terra's omelet was sat down and she immediately dug in. "You sure you're going to be okay going back?" Terra nodded at Beast's concern and admitted, " A little nervous, I left that life behind wanting to free myself from the burden of responsibility, the person I became, the power I had that I didn't want."  Sighing Terra shrugged, "But now it's time to be a big girl and just accept life as is." Looking into Beast's green eyes Terra knowingly said, "I know you were ticked off to hear I had yet another secret that I didn't share with you. I breezed into jump city posing as the drifter with no ties, and I never told you otherwise. I  should have been honest. But I wasn't, I lied about who I was. I made you keep my secret about my powers being out of control and then blamed you for Robin figuring it out." Terra patted Beast's hand, "Things could have been different if I had been more trusting. More open to the good people I had luckily found. But we can't fix the past, just keep going for the future." Beast grinned, "Sounds like a good plan."  Terra nodded as she suddenly frowned a little, Beast watched her bite her lip before saying, "And I was wrong. Slade was wrong too, Raven's sweet and compassionate. I know now that I would have never won against her, because when she lets you in even a little bit it feels like a mile. And you feel lucky because she gives you so much more back."  Beast nodded smiling, "Which is why it's amazing to love her,  to be loved by her." Terra grinned happily as she slapped a couple of bills on the table and stood, "Bye B."  Watching her go, Beast for the last time said goodbye to his friend. This time in a place where they could see each other in twenty or so years and it be a civil and actually happy reunion.  Finishing his own breakfast, Beast stood as he called Raven, "Hey baby, what would you say to date night?"  Cyborg and Suki were walking in the park holding hands. She had her dog, Yumi, walking ahead of them, the white furry pup's tongue lolling out of his mouth happily.  Looking up at Cyborg in his tracksuit Suki grinned leaned up a little and kissed his cheek. Cyborg grinned down at her, "What was that for?" Suki shrugged blushing, "These past few weeks, hanging out with you have been amazing. Getting to know someone like me, having so much in common with you. It's been amazing."  Cyborg stopped and cradled her cheek happily, "I've been happy too. REALLY happy." Suki smiled widely before awkwardly mumbled, "You told me when we first met you didn't know how long you'd be staying in Japan-." Cyborg shook his head, "I think I might be here a lot longer than I originally planned. I don't see the reason to leave when I'm perfect here." Suki glowed up and pulled him closer, "Come home with me."  Cyborg looked at her curiously but she nodded and he smiled as she started to pull him along.  But then suddenly four wolves appeared in front of them growling, "Weren't you told there were certain places you can't go Metal Boy?" One of them growled making Cyborg angry, "Yeah but last I checked I'm a grown-ass man, I don't take orders from a bunch of mangy mutts with sticks up their ass' about how I look!"  One of the wolves pounced, but Cyborg threw him back and planted himself in between them and Suki.  That is until three more came up behind them making Yumi growl in disgust. Yumi looked at Cyborg and both of them turned back to back, him holding up his arm cannon as Suki suddenly held up a clear spiked ball and chain. When she swung the ball teasingly at a wolf, electricity flowing threw her body flowed through the ball making it glow purple as she swung it to her opponent making him bounce back.  Facing each other one last time, Cyborg and Suki smirked confidently before both rushing their opponents.
