The pack house buzzed with silent coordination as they transferred Mason.
Aiden and Ryan carried Mason carefully to Bella’s home while Bella walked close behind, her eyes locked on him, her heart pounding with every step.
Once inside:
Mason was settled into Bella’s room.
Claire moved into Caleb’s room.
Rachel and Blake took Matt and Rose’s room.
Aiden took Ryan’s old room.
Emma, William, and Noah were assigned to Bella’s parents’ room.
Claire had initially assigned Noah to Caleb’s room but quickly corrected herself. "He’s too young. It’s safer for him to stay with his parents."
With everyone settled and time running short, Claire rolled up her sleeves.
