Zoe’s POV
I woke up to the sound of Alex’s alarm as always, while I laid in our bed on my back. I listened to him turn it off and roll over to wrap me in his strong arms as always. I breathed in his scent of spicy ginger and smiled at how comforting it was. I opened my eyes to inspect that handsome face of his, wondering how well he had healed overnight.
I took his face in both of my hands and pulled him to look at me and he opened his intense honey eyes. I smiled as I ran my thumb over his plump pink lips. His lip that was busted had healed overnight, but his eyebrow hadn’t fully healed yet. It was still a little swollen and red. He had a few other cuts on his face that were now gone.
I leaned towards him and kissed his lips tenderly before pulling
