My mate was the first to fall. As soon as the transformation was over, the Alpha marched over to the light brown wolf and slashed his throat without hesitation. I watched life fade from Lance’s green eyes, screaming until my throat was bleeding, and crying until I could no longer see. I later came to find out that the stress of the situation caused our unborn pup to perish, leaving me with no other memory of the love of my life.
