As soon as her eyes locked on me, shivers ran down my spine. Their intense shine was brighter than that of headlights on a dark road, and much like a helpless deer, I was frozen in my spot. Her deadly diamonds with slit pupils were hypnotizing; I was sure she could kill me with a single look. Adrenaline was pumping through my veins, but there was nowhere to run. I had failed to read her intentions and mistakenly let my guard down. The moment the lioness pounced on the lamb, there was no one around to witness the m******e.
“s**t!” I yelled as her sharp talons ripped the thin fabric of my shirt, easily tearing through my skin. Trying my best to ignore the burning sensation, I glanced down to analyze the scratch marks that crossed my chest. “Do you really have to use your claws?”
