My dad looks like he’s about to have a stroke.
I check my watch once again, seeing that they are already five minutes late, but I know Katie said there was a wreck and major traffic. Just as I go to unbutton my cuffs to get more comfortable, the door opens and Katie lets out a smile at my dad, and then at me, walking at a fast pace towards us.
“She’s ready!”
We all look at the judge and he nods his head. Katie takes my hand and we take a seat. She’s huffing air from rushing around and yet the flush to her cheeks just add to her beauty. “Hello, gorgeous,” I say, kissing the tip of her nose.
