Clark does not want Isabella to know that they are coming. He knows that she will not be pleased to see them, and he cannot blame her, as they were not the grandparents that they must have been. He also knows that they cannot show up without telling somebody. So he contacts Isabella's husband, Salvatore Pistone. He called Salvatore from the plane, and it was not easy to get a hold of Salvatore. He called Salvatore's office as he could not find Salvatore's private number. At last, Salvatore's secretary let him speak to Salvatore. Ricco let him talk to Salvatore only after he told him who he was.
