Chapter One Blair knew better than to raise her head. Even though after weeks on board her master’s shuttle that was the very thing she wanted to do the most. Lift her head and let the fine mist of rainfall on her upturned face. Maybe turn fully and feel the wind lift her hair from her shoulders. She didn’t but that didn’t mean she didn’t want to. After weeks she was just thankful to feel solid earth beneath her feet and not the uncertain rumble of her master’s space shuttle, which looked even older than he did. Plus Blair had never been to Auria before. It was literally a brand new world and she couldn’t wait to explore. If , of course she could sneak away for a little while. Her master was old and she had always been well behaved so it wouldn’t be that hard. It definitely wouldn’t be the first time she had sneaked off the ship to do a little exploring of her own, as long as she was back before first light then it was a given that she wouldn’t be caught. Having been born on one of the space stations Blair had a fascination with all the planets her master visited in his job as healer. Each one more captivating and beautiful than the one before. And Auria? She had always wanted to see the planet that produced the deadliest warriors in the galaxy. Would it be dark and deadly like they were? Would she come into contact with any natives? The only Auria warriors she had seen had been back on the station. And their very size had her scuttling after her master without examining them fully. Maybe this was her chance to study them more closely. Maybe it was the years she had spent in servitude to the healer but Blair had a curious mind. Something that would get her into trouble if anyone knew about it. Luckily it was a secret she kept tight to her chest. She was a good girl. A good omega. Her master told her so every day. Usually when he was forcing himself between her legs, the memories of which caused a sharp pain to radiate just above her left breast. He wasn’t even an alpha , although he tried hard to pretend he was one. Which usually meant pain and humiliation for her. Daddy or master it didn’t mean anything to Blair , they were just words she used to keep him happy. When he was happy , things were over quicker and with far less pain. Blair could take anything he threw at her as long as she knew it would be over quickly. “Blair” His voice cut through her thoughts and she scurried to his side. His heavy pack making her shoulders hunch. “I’m here master” She kept her eyes on her bare toes, revelling in the feel of the damp grass between them. “Get your head out of the clouds girl and concentrate. It’s not everyday we are summoned by one of the leading generals of any planet, let alone Auria” Head out of the clouds? Blair let her lips curve up in a half smile. What she wouldn’t do to be able to look up. To gaze up at the clouds instead of having to stare at her feet. “Sorry master” Her voice was dead, unfeeling. After all she was a monotonous robot. The fact she was a human woman didn’t matter to her master. To him she was just an Omega. Something to use and abuse. She wasn’t a person. She hadn’t been since the day she had been born , back on station three. “You have everything packed correctly? Like I asked?” “Yes master” Blair fought the urge to roll her eyes. Like he remembered what he needed in his kit. The old man had been forgetting more and more recently and it was up to her to make sure he didn’t make any serious blunders that got him. And by default her killed. “Of course” The words slipped from her lips before she could stop them, and she braced herself for what she knew was coming. “Watch…” Bony fingers wrapped themselves around her bicep, his face just inches from hers. “Watch your tone with me girl” He flexed his fingers and Blair bit back a cry. Crying out and showing pain would just make things worse. “If I wasn’t in so much of a rush I would make you remember your place” His voice held the threat Blair had heard so many times before. Blinking back tears, she raised her eyes to his red rimmed ones. He didn’t need to elaborate . She could see exactly what he meant but he carried on regardless. His rancid breath blowing in her face. “Yes I would make you remember your place Omega, I would bend you over right here in the grass. I’d show those Auririan Alphas how to properly rut an omega slave” Blair lowered her eyes again. This wasn’t the first time she had heard such threats from his mouth. As a beta , her master strived to be something he wasn’t . He wanted to be an Alpha. He also wanted to seem smart. Smarter than everyone else. Auririan? Everyone with half a brain knew the Alphas of Auria called themselves Beserkers. “Would you like that?” His fingers dug into her flesh again. “Would you like them to watch?” “Whatever my master thinks is best master” Blair kept her voice quiet, barely a whisper. No that was the last thing she wanted . It was bad enough when he touched her but to have others watch him rut her like an animal? That humiliation would be on the same level as him sharing her. Something he had so far never done. A beta with an omega sex slave? No her master would never let another man touch her. “Good girl” His hand gripped her left breast and he blew out a breath as his yellowing nails dug in. “My sweet little omega, are you going to be a good girl for me tonight?” Blair swallowed down the bile in her mouth, she knew the right answer to this and she made herself say the words even if they made her want to vomit in her own mouth. “Yes Daddy”
