The cop’s words kept drilling inside Alana’s head like a woodpecker that wouldn’t go away even after the millionth time she tried to shoo away.
It took her a while to get out of her stunned state when she watched them take Zayn away right in front of her eyes in the early hours of the day.
He looked panicked but didn’t protest and silently walked away with them after murmuring several comforting words in Alana’s ear. She thought she felt his lips softly brushing against hers before he left, but she wasn’t quite sure about it, thanks to the horrendous situation she was in.
Alana was currently waiting in the police station. She had absolutely no idea how she reached there with the mental whirlwind she was in.
