"What?" My eyes were wide with surprise while his were blank, not giving away anything. His words struck me and I sat on his lap, looking at him bewildered. "You aren't coming with us. " He repeated, voice deeper than before, not leaving any room for negotiation. I thought I had misheard, but I didn't. He wasn't lying, nor was he playing with me. He deadpanned what he was thinking and intending and he was more than serious about it. " Wh-why? " The word left my mouth with a stutter. I wanted to go. I wanted to see the very place where it started, where it all began. The place that kept my fathers work for all these years.
