Chapter 44 - The Rift
We left the mess we made in New York for the feds and local police to clean despite most of us not skipping town just yet. Elijah was happy to take over everything and we were quickly dismissed. The civil suit ended up getting dropped, not only because Conrad is dead and there's not really a point to it, but also because we are down one lawyer.
James is slowly recuperating, but his prognosis is good. Since Lorraine remains in hospital, still in a medically induced coma, Cynthia decided that she will stay in New York. Convenience makes it that James should stay with her, since she's a doctor and can help dress his wounds, and plus they can share a ride to the hospital if he needs a follow up and she is visiting Lorraine.
