This is not going how it's supposed to. I only intended to take a step back from Opal. I didn't want her to think she could get away with certain things, so I went back to basics. I never thought that it would drive us further apart.
I didn't really intend to push her away during the work day. I actually have been busier than she knows. I've been going over a deal with a partnering company. Something only Beck knows about. We have been going back and fourth all week trying to seal this deal.
I only kept Opal so far from me during work hours to focus. My thoughts were never far from my kitten. I missed her all day. Her being right outside my office door wasn't helping either.
