Lysandra looked at Kaiden intently, gauging his reaction to what she said. It took a lot of her to be able to mention about mates, especially her losing hers.
Kaiden heaved a deep sigh and looked at her.
“I honestly don’t know anything about mates, but I get it that he is your first love…” Kaiden finally replied.
“Y-Yeah. I have known him since I can remember and we were together for a long time and about to get married when I lost him.” She told him as she observed him.
Kaiden nodded.
“You were devastated… I understand…” he trailed.
Lysandra straightened her back.
“Is that all your reaction? Are you not jealous or something?” she asked.
Kaiden looked at her and gave her a small smile.
“I kind of feel a small pinch in my heart.” He answered, placing his hand over his left chest.
