Zaren was still in a daze when he entered the room where Cavanah monitors everything from the huge screen mounted on the wall. He still couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that the mythical creatures he had known all his life were just myths that had been living among them for several millennia.
He didn’t expect that he’d fall deeper into the rabbit hole when he found out that his best friend and his girlfriend were not human.
“Hey,” Cavanah greeted Zaren while looking at the monitors that show the inside and outside of the Peter House and their teams in their locations.
“So, far everything is moving according to plan. And there is no one in that AA meeting who screams bad guy.” He continued, but then he noticed that Zaren didn’t respond to what he said.
