CLEO'S POV -- I have never been this happy to be occupied by planning my own party with my mother. I haven't seen Gizelle in three days and whenever she calls, I do answer and say I'm busy doing whatever I'm busy with. The guilt I feel in my chest just gets worse and worse and tonight, I am having my masquerade ball. It's my birthday and I have been up since five, running around with my mom to get things done so that we can go to the mall. Dad had to leave for a very important meeting at another pack, but he made sure to give me my gift this morning before he went to the airport. I was hoping for a car, but of course I didn't get one, I am not their real child and Felix just got a car a few weeks ago.
