CLEO’S POV — Blinding pain pierces through my upper body as I lay, unable to move with the wink knocked right out of me, the damp grass wetting my back. I totally missed the tree and fell too fast to shift. “Cleo!” I could hear Felix’s voice travel out the window as he’s busy busting the door down. I inhale a deep breath, biting down on my teeth as my chest rises and I close my eyes, my lips rounding as I blow the breath out. I move my feet and hands and I’m relieved when there’s no pain. I start to wiggle while I inhale deep breaths and realised that I only knocked the wind out of me and hurt my shoulder when I fell. It takes every ounce of strength I have left to pull myself onto my feet and I just run while holding my shoulder. I hear the door break as I sprint away, heaving as I inha
