As soon as Alec sees me, he starts walking towards me with an expression on his face that is a mixture of anger and outrage, but when he is close enough to me, Al and Charlie step forward to stand between his pent-up anger and my bewilderment at noticing how furious Al looks, it almost seems as he wants to hit him too, and that is when I remember that they were listening yesterday to everything he was saying about me, knowing perfectly well that it was all lies, and also Al's nice gesture when he sent me ice cream and brownie with the maid, in an attempt to make me feel better.
