August’s pov
I have never been more scared in my life than I was when I felt the terror and upset coming from my mate. I ran as fast as I could to get to her terrified that something terrible was away to happen. I did everything I could to get her to look at me and hear me.
It was like she was trapped in a nightmare, and I felt completely helpless as she looked right through me. I had no idea what had happened until she finally managed to say she was pregnant, and it felt like the air was knocked out of me.
She just kept sobbing so my initial happiness turned into anger as I let my insecurities get the better of me, as my stupid brain told me she didn’t want me or a child that came from me, and jealousy took over.
