August’s pov
Ever since I was fooled so badly by Sophia, I have been angry all of the time. I not only lost my mate because of her, but I also lost my wolf Silo. I think I am more angry because I can not blame her fully for this, as I know my own stupidly and naivety played the biggest part.
I never once questioned Sophia when we were children. I was the oldest out of all of us, but I couldn’t see through her childish tricks. Sophia practically worshipped me as a child, and I was flattered by the pretty little red head.
I knew she would grow up into a beautiful woman because her mum was one of the prettiest women I had ever seen. It seemed right that one day Sophia could be my mate, so I indulged her when she spoke of it, and I guess over time, I believed it myself.
