It was the strangest thing getting ready with Marcus, my ex mates new mate. I knew at first he hated me, and I don’t blame him in the slightest. He wasn’t keen on me even before Regina and I rejected each other because of how I treated her growing up.
He was always protective of her. He loved her from the moment they were children. Even if I was upset at first for losing her to lies, I knew that I could have never loved her like he did. They were perfect for each other.
