I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the sun shining into the room.
My head was still resting on Gideon's chest when I opened my eyes. His strong arms wrapped around me and made me feel safer than ever before.
I tilted my head back and looked up at Gideon, who was still asleep. He looked so peaceful when he was asleep and even more beautiful when he looked so relaxed.
I put my hand on his chest, just above his heart. It was beating strongly under my fingers.
It still felt unusual to feel Gideon's feelings inside me. I had been alone so much of my life and now to have someone to share my life with was wonderful.
