The sun was just starting to poke through the clouds. It would be daylight within the next few hours and I was dreading it. Allues long red hair was splayed across the bed with her head nestled on my chest. The embers of the fire started to burn out causing a slight chill to seep in through the balcony. Her soft and slow breaths fanned across my body. She was so peaceful looking when she slept.
I knew it was pointless to go back to sleep. We didn't know when Bram would choose to attack but I couldn't bring myself to leave this bed yet. I couldn't force myself to leave this peaceful sanctuary. I knew as soon as I was awake that chaos would ensue. I knew we had a good plan in place but it didn't stop me from worrying. I started running through plans in my mind on repeat.
