Veronica slowly opened her eyes and smiled when she heard the birds chirping outside. Today is the day that she'll go back to the South with Jarvis. She slowly sat and stretch her muscles.
"Veronica?" her father called and knocked on the door.
"Yes, Dad?" she asked. Veronica got down on the bed and grabbed her robe. She put it on her and fixed herself.
"Are you up? Can we talk?" Henry said. Veronica glanced at the door and back to the mirror.
"Yes, Daddy. Give me a minute," she answered. When she was finally done, she went and opened the door. Her father immediately smiled upon seeing her and engulfed her into a hug.
