Vadim looked at his cell phone and smiled as he scrolled back to the messages he’d shared with Essence. God, he loved his wife.
“You look like the cat who swallowed the canary.”
He looked up and grinned at Keary. “nah, this cat likes swallowing p***y more than birds.”
Keary guffawed at Vadim’s joke and flung himself into the seat opposite Vadim’s desk. “I come with a bunch of updates, but I’ll give you the easy one first because the other one I’m still processing.”
Vadim curled his fingers at his friend, “out with it.”
“You’ll never guess who showed up at my company’s HQ this morning.”
“Who?” He really wasn’t in the mood to play games with anyone other than his wife.
“Jake and Monty.”
“Are you f*****g kidding me?”
“Nope. They were laying in wait as I was heading to my
