Wednesday evening Essence found herself strangely excited for when Vadim came home. Their frantic lovemaking the night before had culminated in a warm bath in which she’d completely passed out asleep. When she’d woken this morning, it was in a pair of silken pyjamas again, tucked into Vadim’s master bedroom and the hazy memory of him kissing her gently before he left for the office.
