I was still shaken by this new development, trying to come to terms with the fact that I might never live in the Evergreen pack again. I felt an overwhelming sense of deja vu at the concept of being banished from a pack for something I did not do. Once again I was framed, and I did not understand why. I had no connections with the rogues whatsoever, but nothing I could say would convince the elders of my innocence.
The heaviness in my heart was weighing me down, but I was grateful at least to have the triplets by my side. They had believed me without question, and it was a relief for me. I wasn't sure what idea they would come up with that would save my situation, but I was all ears.
