As I lay in the backseat of Elias' car, I recounted everything that just played out in Lichen pack, and I felt a deep-rooted pain and anger that knew no bounds. To know that Alpha Jack had set his soldiers on me was baffling, and to think he did it to outnumber me because he knew I would not be able to defeat them in their large number was the most cowardly move.
Pain throbbed through my body from all the whipping I had received, and for a second all I could think about was revenge, but I held myself back, being honest about the simple fact that they were not worth it.
