Lucian's words from a few days ago still echoed loudly in my mind, but I decided to be patient as he instructed, occupying my time with my plans of catching the undercover agent in the pack. With the help of Bella and Amy, I managed to gain more access in the main castle to broaden our resources.
But all our efforts seemed to be in vain. There was not as much as a peep of hope from anywhere. At some point I began to wonder if we were only wasting our time. Perhaps there was no spy present and the rogue king was putting that thought in our heads to distract us from his real plans. I twirled this possibility in my head for a while before deciding to table it at my next meetup with the triplets.
