CHAPTER 33: HE'S MY FAMILY “You open first,” I tell him leaving no room for argument, so he playfully rolled his eyes and complied. “It’s heavy, not a feel bad,” he says glancing at the relatively small box that held his gift for me. “That means nothing, it isn’t much anyways.” Finally, he opens the box now that the wrapping paper has all been removed. He pulls one book out after another; there were four in total. “Our favorite books,” he realizes. Two were his favorites and two were my favorites. “Look inside them,” I tell him. I had read his favorite books and marked my favorite parts, leaving little notes for him, and I had gone through my own favorite books leaving notes about what I loved and what I thought he would love.
