The mere thought of the needle piercing her skin over and over again made her whole body tense with fear. Yet, a part of Emma still refused to give up. She let herself cry a little harder, leaning weakly into Luna Doris's embrace. Her trembling voice, her tear-stained face, even the way she curled into her mother's arms, she hoped it would soften everyone's hearts. Emma couldn't understand why bringing Dr. Carl back had suddenly become so difficult. When she thought she only had a fever, she could reluctantly accept it.
