BERYL I sit on the bed while Henry sits on a chair next to me clutching my hand. I have to laugh at how nervous he is. His palms are sweating so much and his knee is bouncing on one spot. I've never seen him this unsettled before. “Don't laugh.” he mutters with a frown. His expression makes me laugh even more. “Okay,” a doctor pushes open the door. “Mr. Smith, Mrs. Smith.” he acknowledges us. “I'm Dr. Emily Caleb but you can simply call me Emily.” she smiles. Her eyes twinkle and her dark hair bounces on her shoulders. “It's nice to meet you Emily.” I smile at her. “Please feel free to call me Beryl and this is Henry.” I gesture at my husband who's wearing a permanent frown. He is still nervous and in denial. Emily laughs when she takes a look at him. “Nervous?” she asks. Henry nods
