Alex stayed with me all day until I fell asleep. I felt better now, but I didn't want to see my father anymore. I explained to Alex what I had talked about with Bjorn. He didn't want to be the leader of the community anymore, but Alex didn't think the rest of the Polar Bears would accept anyone but me. I was the one who saved them after Amanda's attack, and I was also the one who created our home; if I appointed a tournament for someone to take my place, they wouldn't be so happy.
We then decided to join our pack and the community. I remembered from the tales of our oasis that Esmeralda didn't create only one area for the shifters to live; she created several with the different biomes they all needed, and they moved around using portals.
