Fuming in her heart, Rose tightened her grip on her shopping bags. Rose wanted to head over but soon, she calmed down. Instead, she took her phone.
"Huh? Why is it off?"
Pressing hard on the start button, Rose turned on her phone which was almost out of battery. She checked her phone for missed calls and messages.
"Nothing? There is nothing!"
Muttering to herself, Rose lowered her head as her vision blurred. She was so upset that tears started to roll down her cheeks.
He didn't come after her. No phone calls and no explanation. Was Kevin mad at her for splashing water at him?
Rose shook her head abruptly and realized how far gone she was. "It wasn't wrong of me to splash at him. Why am I giving him excuses?"
