Her bag was empty?
All she could see was a gash at the bottom of her bag made by a sharp knife. Her wallet and cell phone were all gone. Only her keys, which were dangling from a compartment, were still jingling.
She flipped the bag and looked over and over again. Her mind went blank. She was completely dumbfounded.
She had just gotten off the bus, and it was not far away. What was going on? Were her possessions all stolen? Why didn't she feel anything? She did not even notice it!
