Blinking pitifully, Rose mumbled, "Hubby, my throat hurts. Ahem..." Her lips hurt too!
Almost at the same time, Kevin's emotions subsided, and he touched her forehead. "Are you burning up again? I'll get you some honey water!"
Getting up, he went to take some pills before making honey water.
Looking at him hustling around, Rose's heart warmed up. He had actually cared about her, although it may be 'lesser' than she desired!
She did not know if she went soft because of the sickness, but she no longer felt angry at all!
Kevin fed her the medicine before taking her temperature, his arms around her. "That's more like it! Your fever is better now. Get some more sleep and get well quickly!"
He preferred her to be full of vigor and not sickly.
