I slept the entire ride home, knowing I was safe in my mate’s arms. Whatever he did made the fighting between mate bonds cease to exist, allowing my mind to finally feel at ease.
The next time my eyes opened, the sun was already setting. Jacob was shaking Jameson and mumbling, “Hey guys, wake-up! We’re home!”
“I’m up. I’m up,” Jameson groggily mumbled, as he started to sit up.
Knowing it would be easier if I also sat up, I did the same, then I waited for Jameson to climb out of the car. When I started to scoot towards the door, Jameson reached in and lifted me out of the car.
