Savannah     When I finally regained consciousness, my mind felt hazy, and I was too weak to lift my heavy eyelids.  None of my senses were working worth a damn, other than my sense of pain.  My wrists and ankles burned and itched so bad I wanted nothing more than to scratch them, but I couldn’t.     As the haze began to lift, I heard the sound of heavy footsteps, and they were getting closer.  A few seconds later, I heard the most dreaded, raspy voice of all, instantly putting me on high alert.     Fear sent a rush of adrenaline running through my body, making my eyelids snap open.  I had a vague recollection of my surroundings, but it had been so long, I couldn’t place where I was.     Upon glancing at my wrists, I cringed at the sight of my red, swollen skin.  I was still bound by t
