Julius raises his hand and waves it in the air, encouraging me to approach him. I look around, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the situation, which he doesn't seem to fully grasp. The point of meeting here was to have a landmark we both knew so we could find each other easily, but being here also presents a problem. We could be seen together. I walk in his direction, and as I get closer, my cheeks redden; I want to imagine it’s because of the heat of the day and not because he looks—to my misfortune—quite attractive. "What are you doing?" I mutter, tensing my jaw, but he only offers a smile. "Waiting for you," he indicates as he stands up from his seat.
