Needless to say when poor John finally managed to make it close enough to mind-link the King of Werewolves who had an unnaturally large distance for it, he was more than a little dishevelled and exhausted. Thank goodness he didn't have to go all the way to the castle, that would have taken far too long. It would have also depleted his energy and made getting back to his pack difficult to say the least.
